My ideal bag for a weekend getaway
It's always the same story: you want to leave light... but you end up with a bag ready to explode.
So I finally found my magic formula for a weekend away: a practical, stylish, and above all ultra-functional bag. This is what I always take with me (and what I leave without regret!).
The bag
I choose:
- A comfortable backpack , with adjustable straps and a good fit.
- Or a soft bag like a duffle bag , if it's a weekend in a car or van.
Tip: Choose one that's lightweight, durable, and has multiple pockets . And if it's waterproof, even better!
Clothing side
My mantra: versatile pieces that can be layered . Here are my selections:
- 1 pair of jogging pants or comfortable pants (for walking or chilling)
- 1 pair of jeans or more stylish pants (for the city or an outing)
- 3 tops: t-shirt + a sweater/sweatshirt + top
- 1 windbreaker or light down jacket
- 1 dress or outfit that's a little more "wow" for a photo or a restaurant
- 1 night outfit (leggings + t-shirt, we optimize!)
- 3 pairs of socks + underwear
- 1 pair of sneakers (or hiking shoes depending on the terrain)
- 1 pair of flip-flops or lightweight sandals
Bonus: I always carry a multifunctional scarf (scarf, towel, pillow, sarong… it’s magic).

Mini size and efficiency!
- Toothbrush + toothpaste
- Natural deodorant (alum stone and musk)
- Sunscreen
- Lip balm + kohl
- Biodegradable wipes
- Multi-purpose soap (body + hair + laundry)
- Small first aid kit (bandages, disinfectant, Doliprane)
Practical essentials
- Water bottle (stainless steel, always!)
- Headlamp
- External charger

- Fabric or tote bag for shopping
What I leave behind (and I don't regret)
- The “just in case” (spoiler: we never use it)

This bag is like my stylish survival kit. I save space, I'm free to move, and I have everything I need to feel good, no matter where I put my sneakers.
