My essentials for a successful (and stylish) road trip

Here is my personal checklist of essentials to slip into your bag (and into your playlist), for a successful, practical and stylish road trip.
1. Comfortable and versatile clothing
The golden rule: Outfits that you can spend hours in a car in and the next hour exploring a hilltop village in. You need pieces that are comfortable, breathable, and easy to mix and match.
Take away :
- The jeans boyfriend , perfect for the road or for a short hike
- THE tank top ribbed , soft and breathable
- A knitted sweater , for evenings around the fire
- A long, basic shirt for mixing outfits
2. A well-designed bag to keep everything close at hand
No more clutter in the car. A good bag is one that lets you find your logbook, sunglasses, or lipstick without emptying your entire trunk.
The must:
- The fanny pack , super practical for quick stops and walks
- The bag backpack to organize clothes, snacks and guides
3. A minimalist beauty kit
No need to bring your entire bathroom. A few well-chosen essentials are all you need to feel fresh even after several hours on the road.
My road trip beauty essentials:
- A multi-function moisturizer
- A solid shampoo and soap
- A hair oil
- A lip balm and a small solid perfume
- And a foldable brush, of course
4. A good playlist and a travel diary
Because a road trip without music… is like a summer without a sunset. Prepare a playlist that smells of freedom, the wind in your hair, and endless landscapes.
And remember to bring a small notebook to note down incredible spots, favorite cafes or just the thoughts that cross your mind on the road.
5. The little bonuses that make all the difference
- An insulated bottle to always have fresh water or hot tea
- A large multi-purpose scarf : neck warmer, tied in the hair, sun visor, etc.
- Cuddly socks for nights in a van or at the hostel
- And such a useful lamp !
